چکیده

The Run I results on the searches for new physics in photon final states were intriguing. The rare eeγγ 6ET candidate event and the measured event rate for the signature l + γ + 6ET, which was 2.7 sigma above the Standard Model predictions, sparked signature-based searches in the γγ +X and lγ +X channels. With more data in Run II we should be able to answer a simple question: was it an anomaly or were the Run I results the first evidence for new physics? We present searches for New Physics in Photon Final States at CDF Run II, Fermilab, with substantially more data and a higher p̄p collision energy, 1.96 TeV, and the upgraded CDF-II detector. Searches for New Physics at the Tevatron in Photon and Jet Final States

We present the results of searches for non-standard model phenomena in photon and jet final states. These searches use data from integrated luminosities of 0.7–2.7 fb of pp̄ collisions at √ s = 1.96 TeV, collected with the CDF and DØ detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. No significant excess in data has been observed. We report limits on the parameters of several models, including: large extra di...

CDF Searches for New Physics with Photons

We present results of searches for new physics in final states with photons at CDF in approximately 1fb of pp̄ collisions at 1.96 TeV. We give an overview of the data-driven photon background estimation techniques used for the analyses. We report on a search for diphoton peaks and signature-based searches for γγ +X, lγ +X (X = e, μ, 6ET, γ) and tt̄γ. PACS. 13.85.Rm Limits on production of particl...

Searches for New Physics in Photon and Jet Final States

At an energy frontier collider, the usual way to search for indices of physics beyond the standard model (SM) is to look for the collisions with the highest momentum-transfer particles. Typically, one chooses a particular model, and the event selection is optimized to enhance its contribution against the SM expectation. The absence of any deviation in data provides a limit on the production cro...

Searches for New Physics at the Tevatron

Recent results of searches for new phenomena using data collected in Run I by the CDF and D0 experiments are presented. D0 set limits for top squarks decaying into blν̃ significantly beyond the reach of previous analyses in this channel (mt̃>140 GeV at 95% C.L. for mν̃ =45 GeV). CDF exclude top squarks decaying into bτ for masses below 111 GeV. In addition, D0 have analyzed photon and electron pai...

New Physics at Lep2

Searches for new physics in the first year of running of LEP2, at energies of 161 and 172 GeV, are summarized. After a short review of WW results and their implications on new physics, searches for the Higgs boson and SUSY particles, analyses of four-jet final states and constraints on possible explanations for the HERA high Q 2 anomaly are discussed in turn.
